Rates & Insurance
We believe that understanding the cost of therapy should be simple and transparent. Below, you will find information about our session rates, accepted insurance plans, and payment policies.
Session Rates
Private-pay services are available for clients who do not have insurance, prefer not to use insurance, or have a plan that we do not currently accept.
Phone Consultation: Free · 15 minutes
Initial Intake Appointment: $200 · 50 minutes
Individual Therapy: $150 · 50 minutes
Couples Therapy: $180 · 50 minutes
Family Therapy: $180 · 50 minutes
Insurance generally requires a mental health diagnosis and may involve sharing limited treatment information for billing and authorization purposes. Private pay allows services to be provided without submitting claims to an insurance company.
Reduced Rates
We offer affordable individual counseling through LPC Associates and graduate student interns practicing under supervision.
LPC Associate: $85 · 50 minutes
Graduate Student Intern: $35 · 50 minutes
LPC Associates have completed their graduate education and practice under a board-approved LPC Supervisor. Graduate student interns are completing their counseling degrees and provide services under clinical supervision.
These services are available without using insurance. Availability is limited and may be subject to a waitlist. Please contact us for current openings.

Six Pines Counseling accepts select insurance plans, including:

Insurance coverage varies by plan and clinician. Before scheduling, we will help verify whether your clinician is in network with your specific plan. Verification of benefits is not a guarantee of coverage or payment. Clients are responsible for understanding their benefits and for any deductibles, copays, coinsurance, or services not covered by insurance.
Out-of-Network Benefits
If your clinician is not in network with your insurance plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Upon request, we can provide a superbill for eligible services for you to submit to your insurance company.
Reimbursement is determined by your insurance plan and is not guaranteed. We recommend contacting your insurance provider before beginning services.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service. Clients receiving paid services must keep a valid credit or debit card on file for copays, deductibles, coinsurance, private-pay fees, cancellation fees, and other balances not covered by insurance.
Cancellations
We ask all clients to provide at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice and missed appointments may be subject to the following fees:
Fully Licensed Clinician: $75
LPC Associate: $40
Graduate Student Intern: $35 (full session fee)
Cancellation and missed-appointment fees are not covered by insurance. Exceptions may be made for emergencies or unexpected circumstances.
