We believe that understanding the cost of therapy should be simple and transparent. Below, you will find information about our session rates, accepted insurance plans, and payment policies.
Session Rates
Initial Intake Appointment
$250
Your first appointment provides time to discuss your concerns, history, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy.
Individual Therapy
$150 per 50-minute session
Couples and Family Therapy
$180 per 50-minute session
Rates may vary for graduate interns or associate-level clinicians. Please contact us for current availability and pricing.
Insurance
Six Pines Counseling accepts select insurance plans, including:

Insurance coverage varies by plan and clinician. Before scheduling, we will help verify whether your clinician is in network with your specific plan. Verification of benefits is not a guarantee of coverage or payment. Clients are responsible for understanding their benefits and for any deductibles, copays, coinsurance, or services not covered by insurance.
Private Pay
Private-pay services are available for clients who do not have insurance, prefer not to use insurance, or have a plan that we do not currently accept.
Using insurance generally requires a mental health diagnosis and may allow the insurance company to access certain information related to your treatment. Private pay may provide greater privacy and flexibility because treatment is not subject to insurance requirements.
Out-of-Network Benefits
If we are not in network with your insurance plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Upon request, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company.
Reimbursement is determined by your insurance plan and is not guaranteed. We recommend contacting your insurance provider before beginning services.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service. A valid credit or debit card must be kept on file for copays, deductibles, coinsurance, private-pay fees, and other balances not covered by insurance.
Cancellation Policy
We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice and missed appointments may be subject to a $75 fee. Cancellation and missed-appointment fees are not covered by insurance.
